We're Hiring - Sales person
We are looking for a very special person to join the team at our Battersea shop.
If you have little or no knowledge about wine then I’m afraid we must leave you at this early stage, because we need someone who is ready willing and able to offer friendly, informed and articulate advice to an adventurous but demanding group of very grown up customers, many of whom are themselves very knowledgeable about wine.
So, you should already know your way around all of the world’s major wine regions, grape varietals, appellations and styles. That’s a good start.
Now, we pride ourselves on being one of the most “can do” and friendly wine retailers in the business, so you should be naturally cheerful, open and friendly and you should be able to communicate confidently and authoritatively, with all kinds of customers. In essence, you need to be able to sell…., but ours is a soft sell environment.
Ideally you will have a clean driving licence, a willingness to get stuck in and turn your hand to all of the fun as well as the boring tasks that come with running a wine shop and you will be looking for a long term position.
