The Terres Jaunes is the yellow sandy clay found in the vineyards around the Dentelles de Montmirail this distinctive rocky ridge on the western extension of the Ventoux mountains. Here you’ll find Gigondas, Vacqueras and Beaunes de Venise, well known for its sweet wines but now a designation in its own right for red wines. Around 80% Grenache, this has all the sweet fruit but with the fresh mineral lift you get from low sulphur wines making this a wine with angles! Same grape as most of the other regional wines but with a sensationally different taste explosion.
