This vintage across Italy will go down as one of the great and here is one of the few remaining 2004s still on offer. The Walter Massa wines have made an instant impression on us here at Philglas. The white produced from Timorasso is a perfect alternative to top White Burgundy and the red has that wow-factor. A beautiful seamless, almost faultless in its silky finish, subtle dark cherry and dried herbs character make it a versatile wine to go with any roasted meats. A must try Barbera that is more than capable of holding its own against examples from iconic producers such as Roberto Voerzio and Domenico Clerico. |
