Origin Argentina Lujan de Cuyo
Style Light juicy dry red
Grape Malbec
Delicious red with a direct and pure fruit and not cluttered with oak. So far, it's hard to go wrong with Argentinian Malbec, Renacer is a relative newcomer but has already caused a stir. Not least because the famous Allegrini family (of the Veneto) have joined up with them to produce an Amarone-styled wine called Enamore from their Malbec grapes. The Punto Final is a juicy younger brother of that wine, still from the vineyards in Lujan de Cuyo owned by Patricio Reich with Italy's Alberto Antonini acting as consultant winemaker, another good indicator that this is a label to watch.
Incidentally the top Valpolicella producer, Marilisa Allegrini, makes a wine in the Amarone method as a joint venture here at ReNacer called Enamore. |
