Situated in the heart of the Pays d'Auge Calvados, a region known for finer styles as it only permits the use of apples and insists on pot still distillation.
Etienne Dupont studied distilling in Cognac before taking over his family's orchards and introduced new distilling methods in the 1980s. This combination of sophisticated distilling techniques and local knowledge of apple cultivars has paid off. His calvados has a mellowness and warmth of a well aged spirit that retains the liveliness and ripeness of the apple. |
