Bleasdale 'Mulberry Tree' Cabernet Sauvignon
Sourced from vines with over 75 years of age, this is coming from one of McLaren Vale's fifth generation wineries, and judging by the label they have the old photos to prove it! Bleasdale is owned by Bill Potts and his family, family friends of the Glaetzer's they make the Gipsie Jack wines together with John Glaetzer (Uncle of Ben Glaetzer - Mitolo Jester etc). For decades the Bleasdale winery would have been a staple a many an Australian dinner table, renowned for their suberb old vine reds as well as an outstanding sparkling Shiraz. The 'Mulberry Tree' Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic
with dark berry fruits, a lovely touch of mint in the background and all bound seamlessly bound by the faintest hint of French and American oak. |
