Meerlust estate has been in the Myburgh family for 8 generations . The release of this wine comes after the decision not to bottle a Rubicon from the 2003 vintage, but instead to return to the policy of releasing vintages which do not meet the high standards of Rubicon as Meerlust Red. This was done in the 1985 and 1990 vintages and 2002 all these wines have gone on to gather a faithful following of their own and are recognized as high quality estate wines in their own right. All wines wearing the Meerlust label must meet the highest quality and authenticity standards of Meerlust. Great wine that could even be cellared for 5-8 years .n nnnn |
