Ivan Sutherland's vineyard at Dog Point sold most of his grapes under contract to Cloudy Bay. By the time he hit his 50s he and James Healy decided it was time for a sea change; time to get a little dirt under the finger-nails and go back to being a family vineyard. They produce what we think is New Zealand's best Sauvignon Blanc; hugely exotic and intensely flavoured, it has character and depth with a mineral streak on the palate. A super wine.
